KOM/QOM Series 2018

This year's series are over, but have a look at the route!

This fall, UTRR was hosting a 6-week morning hill climbing ride. Meet at Southwest corner of Bloor and St George (outside the Bata shoe museum) and join us for a fun ride where you can test your legs against some of the best climbs in the area.

This ride is open to everyone and is no-drop! We will regroup after each climb and descent before seeing how quickly we can get to the top of each hill. This year we will be tackling hills in the east end of the city; please review the following route prior to the ride (approximately 30km, expect to be done in about and hour an a half)

We will be looking at everyone’s times for each segment on Strava after each ride and award points based on ranking. Points leaders will be announced each week as well as overall series winners! Join our club on strava to be officially entered: https://www.strava.com/clubs/UTRR.

Mandatory equipment:

  • Bicycle
  • Helmet
  • Front and rear lights

Recommended equipment:

  • GPS unit or phone to record your ride on Strava so we can tally points for the entire series (but feel free to just come and ride)
  • Warm cycling clothing (it will be cold most mornings so shoe covers/gloves/hats/jackets are strongly recommended)
  • Water bottle
  • Clipless pedals (feel free to ask us questions if you’re considering getting some!)
